Vicky Kaushal And Janhvi Kapoor Paired For KJo’s Takht

Karan Johar, throughout his career in Bollywood has been known to make the most stereotypical love stories which generations have cherished throughout their lifetime. Let’s face it and be honest, haven’t we gone and watched these very films and secretly enjoyed the romance? No matter how much we criticise his ideas and his in the box romance visuals, Karan Johar has been a name to reckon with. Very recently his venture into Netflix by collaborating with three other not so mainstream directors was a challenge he took on daringly and I must admit he successfully stood his ground and made a remarkable effort on the digital platform. His direction for one of the four short films under “Lust Stories” was not only critically acclaimed, but it also stood out for it’s so-called out of line representation of women and their needs. As per recent reports, Karan Johar seems to be back on the big screen with his most ‘ambitious project’ an upcoming period film. If reports are to be believed, Janhvi Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal will be a part of this film by KJo. When Sanjay Leela Bhansali has mastered this genre, how can other big names like Karan Johar stand behind? Janhvi Kapoor is slated to star opposite the talented Vicky Kaushal who has been remarkable in his past few films. This new film will not only be related to history and the Mughals but shall also consist of several superstars of the B-town in the cast. Vicky Kaushal will reportedly play the role of Aurangzeb and Janhvi his wife in the film. The star-studded cast will also consist of Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor and Bhoomi Pednekar along with Janhvi and Vicky.

Doesn’t this pair sound interesting? Now Vicky is on the rise, and Janhvi having entered Bollywood with Dhadak has put herself into the limelight already.

Though much has not been revealed about the film, this period film shall be a film to watch out for. With high expectations and big hopes, this film with such an ensemble cast is a new venture from Johar. An unexpected one as well. We are eager to watch out for the chemistry between the exciting pairing.
