The trailer of Simmba was launched today and everyone’s talking about how Ranveer Singh rules the screen in the film. He has a ‘zabardast’ entry in the trailer along with some ‘zabardast’ dialogues too.
Speaking about how he prepared for his character Bhalerao, Ranveer said that he did a lot of readings and he would go to Rohit’s office along with Sara and sit and read with Ashwini the writer of the film. “That way I got to know Sara better as to how she is as a person also got a flavour of the film. It was a productive process before going into principal shooting.”
Ranveer’s character in the film looks absolutely madly savage. Karan Johar rightly said that it doesn’t get madder than Ranveer Singh. “From the things he says, the things he does and the way he gets married! He has been getting married since a month now!” added Karan.

On being questioned about what his wife Deepika Padukone had to say about his role in Simmba, Ranveer said, “Deepika told me I looked hot after watching the rushes. Working towards husband of the millennium.” He also added that the minute he saw Deepika six years back in 2012, he knew that she was the one for him. (Yes! totally Awwww…. right?)
Ranveer also said that he’s lucky that he gets to do what he loves to do and he never forgets to count his blessings and also never forgets the days when he had nothing. That’s probably what keeps him so rooted and makes him one of the most successful actors today. “Simmba is a dream come true. The dialogues were great. It is a world of a difference to be in a Rohit Shetty film. Nobody projects heroes like Rohit Shetty and that’s why everyone wants to be in a Rohit Shetty film,” added Ranveer.
Ranveer who plays a cop in Simmba also pointed out that his favorite cop franchise is Rohit’s Singham without a doubt. He said, “It was sort of something we’ve not seen, a larger than life khaki wala hero. I remember watching it with my friends at Chandan cinema. It was an experience which I will never forget. We as an Indian audience love that kind of film watching experience. That’s the kind of celebration you want to see. I hope Simmba can offer that also to our audience”
Looking at the trailer we think it’s time for Ranveer to get ready with yet another celebration after his big fat wedding because Simmba is a full-on entertainer!
