#ThatFlowerGirl Sana Muneer Leaves Handcrafted Flowers To Cheer People Up

How far would you go to make someone happy?

How would it make you feel if you’ve had a really lousy day and then you suddenly find an inspiring note with a pretty flower accessory left by a complete stranger? Happy isn’t it? That’s exactly what Sana Muneer aka That Flower Girl’s intention is when she leaves beautiful cards with an inspiring message and her handcrafted accessories at different locations around Mumbai.

Sana’s beautiful handcrafted rose with a handwritten note

Sana is originally a Bangalore girl and has been living in Mumbai for the last 9 years after her marriage. She loves crafting, especially making felt and foam flower accessories in her free time. She also customises and sells these accessories online. She makes stuff like rings, clips, pendants, brooches etc. What she also likes to do is brighten someone’s day and she has experimented with that in many ways until this idea of brightening up someone’s day by leaving little cards with a note and an accessory came to her mind.

I met Sana at a pop-up market and she casually mentioned about what she does in between our conversation. I knew then that this was something I had to write about for people to know. For people to learn to take time out to lift others no matter how busy we may be. “ Everyone gets caught up and busy in life. Everyone has some issue or the other too, be it health, relationships, career or whatever. This was just my way of making them feel better, bringing a smile in their faces and making someone’s day,” says Sana.

Sana says that she makes accessories that are useful, that people can use/wear. She leaves these happy little notes and goodies in autos, at cake shops, and regularly at Candies in Bandra and especially near colleges and places frequented by youngsters. “More and more youngsters today are going through depression and are under stress so I leave these notes and the little gift for them with the hope it will help to cheer them up and they don’t give up in life and carry this goodness forward!” adds Sana.

She leaves these notes almost every day but on days she is too busy, she does it at least 4 days a week. Sana says she expects nothing from it but just wants to spread positivity. “But yes a note back from someone who has received my little gift would be great! “ says Sana.

She definitely deserves an applause and a thank you note back doesn’t she? Sana is on Instagram as #ThatFlowerGirl.
