Miss Anukreethy Vas comes from Tamil Nadu where she is pursuing a B.A. degree in French. A girl from a humble background now goes on to become the face of India in various other beauty pageants. The event itself was a profound spectacle with a lot of celebs being an important part of it. The list is huge and includes big shot names in the Bollywood industry like Karan Johar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kareena Kapoor and Ayushman Khuranna, but what should definitely caress your interest is the fact that our ek do teen actress put up quite an amazing performance at the show.

Not only is the list of celebs long but also is the list of names under the judges’ panel. K L Rahul, Manushi Chillar, Irrfan khan, Kunal Kapoor, Bobby Deol, journalist Faye D’Souza and fashion designer Gaurav Gupta are all included in the list. The number of participants went from 30 to 13 in the finale and Anukreethy emerged as the winner. The top 5 were selected from the various states across the country. The first and second runner ups were Meenakshi Chaudhary from Haryana and Miss Shreya Rao from Andhra Pradesh respectively. They were judged on the ground of a session of question and answers.
The achievement was the physical manifestation of Anukreethy’s interests in modeling and films. She along with other women has spelled out the meaning of empowerment. Women are finally stepping out of their cloistered existence. You know what they say, give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world! Well, not until her nail polish dries though.
