Years have gone since the launch of the Harry Potter series but it has still not lost its charm. Fans have expressed their love for this series time and again and even the author realizes how much the fan love her and her creation. Time and again we have heard conspiracy theories about the incidents or maybe some Potterhead somewhere comes up with a doubt that leaves everyone including the author herself perplexed. This time again the series is in the news and something about it has gone viral but this time you will actually fall in love with what a fan has come up with.

An unnamed fan amended the original book with his version to fix what was probably the worst tragedy of all in the book – the death of Hedwig (Harry’s pet owl). In the book Deathly Hallows during the “Battle of Seven Potters”, one of Voldemort’s death eater kills Hedwig at the “Second Wizarding War”. Almost everyone was heartbroken at this death. We all wanted Hedwig to survive till the end. Relating with this emotion a fan altered the book and fixed it by amending original lines and portraying that owl was not dead but just hurt in the battle. As soon as he posted it online on Muggle.net it went viral as it resonated with the sentiments of all Harry Potter fans like me who were thrilled at the possibility that these tragedies can be fixed. Fixing Hedwig’s death was not enough to let us live in peace and we wanted more so fans started demanding that this guy fix all other tragedies in the book like the death of Doby or the death of Sirius Black which had honestly made all the fans including me cry.

J.K Rowling herself had gone to twitter once and referenced Hedwig’s death and said that she kind of felt bad about what she did to Hedwig. Fans like us who live in the fantasy and worship this series can use some comfort like these from time to time to make us feel better about the loss and maybe someday even change the author’s mind about what she did to our beloved characters!
