One fun way to boost creativity.

The next time you hit the bar for beer, leave the guilt behind. Drinking beer is actually good for creativity.

Researchers from the University of Graz, in Austria, believe that alcohol helps remove the parameters which surround a problem, allowing more creative thought, and helping drinkers to think outside of the box.

So it does not advise getting sloshed, but a moderate amount of beer can make you more creative, and boost your brain’s productivity A pint of beer for men, and 350 ml for women seems the right amount to make you more artistic.

Though, unfortunately, the study says that alcohol decreases the ‘executive’ function of the brain. So while you may get very good idea, your hampered motor skills will affect the implementation of your ideas. Do not be surprised if your painting or dancing seems less coordinated despite brilliant ideas.

Mathias Benedek has only scientifically proved the anecdotal evidence that alcohol gives wings to flights of fancy.
