Salman Khan’s Bharat has been in the news for various reasons, though it’s a different story that anything Salman does becomes news. It was in the news earlier because of Priyanka Chopra walking out of the film, then later when Katrina Kaif replaced her too.
The latest buzz is the glimpse of the first looks of both Salman and Katrina that was given to us by Salman on Instagram today. The picture is an interesting one with Salman and Katrina’s backs facing the camera as they are looking at Pakistan from the Wagah Border side in India. Katrina is clad in a red saree and has a shawl wrapped around her, while Salman is wearing a blue suit.
Even though Priyanka was roped in for the movie, Katrina was always the first choice for the film. The film is produced by Salman’s sister Alvira and her husband Atul Agnihotri. Bharat also stars Tabu, Sunil Grover, Disha Patani and Nora Fatehi, among others. The music is by Vishal and Shekhar and lyrics by Irshad Kamil. Katrina and Salman have always been a hit pair and their fans love watching the two together. Their last film together was Tiger Zinda Hai.
While other details about the big film are being closely guarded, fans were happy to see a glimpse of the first looks of their two favorite actors.
Bharat is director Abbas Ali Zafar’s third collaboration with Salman. He has earlier directed him for Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
Salman will be seen sporting five different looks spanning over 60 years in the film, including that of a 20-year-old. The film is slated to hit the screens on Eid 2019.
Ali Abbas too shared the same picture and captioned it: “Journey of a man and nation together.” Bharat sure looks like an interesting journey doesn’t it?
