Eight Bollywood Movies To Watch In April 2018

From Romance to Thrill to Fantasy, April has a lot in store for movie buffs

 

Starting from Box Office explosives like Padmaavat and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, to the much awaited releases like Baaghi sequel and the Rani Mukherjee come-back Hichki, 2018 has been a good start for Bollywood so far. The month of April has till now seen Irrfan Khan starrer Blackmail, directed by Abhinay Deo, but it did not do that well at the box office so far. However, April 2018 also has some more much-anticipated movies to look forward to.

October on 13th April, 2018

With all the looks, trailers and the lovely music releases already creating a buzz, this Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu starrer is a movie, all of us are waiting for. Directed by the talented Shoojit Sircar, this looks like a different kind of romantic drama to watch out for.

Mercury on 13th April, 2018

This is a silent thriller movie that stars Prabhu Deva and is directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The film is distantly connected to the 2001incident of Mercury poisoning that happened in Tamil Nadu, and is based on the story of five friends who get together for a high-school re-union.

Omerta on 20th April, 2018

A crime thriller starring Rajkumar Rao, Ravi Khanna, Rajesh Tailang and Rupinder Nagra, Omerta is an autobiography of a man involved in the cause and making of the terrorist organization behind the many terrorist attacks in India.

Beyond The Clouds on 20th April, 2018

The movie has already gained critical acclaim after being showcased at the BFI London Film Festival

An emotional roller coaster from the Mumbai slums, this is a story of a boy who can get to any extent to avail a bail for his sister who has brought him up. His life totally changes when a group of Tamil women and a girl take refuge at his home, and he cares for the girl just like his sister would care for him. Ishaan Khatter, Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother stars in the lead role.

Nanu Ki Jaanu on 20th April, 2018

A comedy-horror flick starring Abhay Deol, the trailer starts with the protagonist worried about a ghostly presence in his house. What follows is a blend of romance, Bollywood masala and slapstick comedy.

Daas Dev on 20th April, 2018

This is a political thriller, starring Aditi Rao Hydari and Richa Chadda where the hero has to forgo his ladylove in order to focus on his political career. Thus, begins a cat-and-mouse game of betrayal, love, deceit and hunger for power which make up the crux of the story.

High Jack on 20th April, 2018

With humor on point, High Jack is a comedy about three employees of a failing airline company who attempt to hijack its last flight to punish their employer, who is running away to Delhi. Another part of the story concerns Rakesh, who’s carrying a suspicious packet when he’s returning to Delhi on the same flight. The movie contains some weird characters, and become even weirder when they accidentally get high on dope up in the sky.

Baazaar on 20th April, 2018

The movie is directed by Gaurav K. Chawla, who worked as assistant director for many renowned movies

Baazaar is a crime detective thriller starring Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Chitrangada Singh – about a detective on a secret mission. The detective concerned is a womanizer and is mysterious – but he’s also an honest worker.

With promising story-lines and talented cast and crew, April surely has a lot of movies to look forward to.
