The Indian Film Industry is waiting eagerly for a movie which would deal with hockey after ‘Chak De’. Interestingly, this time, we will get to see a movie about the Hockey legend Sandeep Singh. While the IPL is about the take a step back as there are only a few matches left, the movie ‘Soorma’ is all set to take us to some exquisite hockey matches from July 13th of this year.

When the teaser poster released somewhere around November, the entire country went ‘gaga’ over the amount of details the teaser poster itself contained. The teaser poster, which contained both Diljit and Sandeep’s faces, did not have secrets left to unveil. Only recently, that the main poster and the name of the movie was revealed to the audience who cannot wait any longer for the movie to hit the theatres.

The movie, which would star Diljit Dosanjh and Pink actress Taapsee Pannu, has been doing quite good in social media platforms. While Taapsee had been too active in posting her images and looks from the sets, Diljit made sure he wouldn’t be too public with the developments of his character from the movie. The movie, directed by Shaad Ali, is going to be the love story between two hockey players which are obviously being played by Diljit and Taapsee.
Rumor has it that Diljit and Taapsee were extremely focused on learning the hockey moves in this short span of time. They wanted to know their characters inside out before diving into the project. While ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ is still one of the best sports biographical movies ever made, we are sure to have some amazing time watching the biography of Sandeep Singh too. If you haven’t heard of his inspiring life story full of challenges, we recommend you to watch his TedX event where he spoke about his life in great details in order to inspire the youth of this generation. One of the most amazing drag-flickers in hockey with a speed of 145km/hr, Sandeep being the ex-captain of Indian National Hockey Team and titled ‘Flicker Singh’, we can only expect exceptional moments in this movie.
While the producers SPNP, Chitrangada Singh and Deepak Singh are all hoping for brilliant results, Diljit is rooting on giving justice to his character. We wish them ‘all the best’ for their upcoming adventure!
