Rohit Shetty, the king of comedy-drama turns 45 today!

 

Filmmaker-Director Rohit Shetty has turned a year old today. As we all know, his movies are full of entertainment, and he is even noted as the king of comedy. With some of the most popular comedies and dramas to his credit, after the success of his Golmaal series and the SRK starrer Dilwale, Rohit Shetty has proved that he is the ultimate ruler of comedy-drama movies. Have you ever seen cars dancing, flying from somewhere in any films till date, rarely right? But, we can see and believe, that some new action awaits us in every film that Mr. Shetty is going to produce. He is even famous for his stunts in Khatron Ke Khiladi and it seemed that he ran the show with great ease.

This year, Rohit Shetty ringed in his 45th birthday on the sets off India’s Next Superstar, and his dear friend Shreyas Talpade had a surprise planned for him. Besides bringing in a birthday cake and singing the Happy Birthday song, Shreyas also sang ‘Zu Zu Zu Zu’, for Rohit! Mr. Shetty had a bright smile on his face after this surprise.

Every actor, director, filmmaker would have faced ups and downs in their career. Even Rohit witnessed ebb and flow in his career, but has never stopped himself from making more movies. He started his career with Zameen in 2003 where he couldn’t impress the audience much. In 2006, his graph grew and touched peaks and then there was no looking back after the success of his Golmaal – Fun Unlimited (2006).

Rohit Shetty is well known for his Golmaal Franchise, the chain movies, narrated as the screwball action comedy movie. Well, every movie of the Golmaal series, be it Golmaal: Fun Unlimited or Golmaal Again, has been a hit at the Box Office. The stories basically revolve around the friends who stay together. But, every new movie in the series has a different angle, although the punches are the same, like it starts with comedy and ends dramatically.

The Singham series is action based, where Singham is known as a lion. It’s a remake of the Tamil movie Singam. Singham is an honest police officer and he would resolve all the problems faced by his fellow villagers. He punishes a politician and a minister for their bad deeds, Bajirao Singham is known for his truthfulness and honesty. And both the movies of the series were blockbusters at the box office.

Chennai Express is one of the biggest hits of Rohit Shetty. The movie had two superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. It was an action-comedy movie, with various punch lines in it, which made the audience go insane. The most famous dialogue of this movie is ‘Don’t underestimate the power of a common man’, and that scene where Shah Rukh got his nightmares after seeing Deepika in a scary look was indeed funny. Their love story had many twist and turns, but the end was happy for the lovers.
