Salman Khan Films’(SKF) gave Bollywood two fresh faces in Love Yatri last year, while the two actors Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain are busy celebrities now, attending events and shows, signing autographs and clicking photographs with their fans, SKF is all set to introduce two more new faces in Bollywood in their forthcoming film Notebook.Salman Khan who has earlier too launched multiple actors and actresses gives newcomers Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl a platform to showcase their acting talents by casting them in his next home production Notebook.

Salman Khan was impressed with Zaheer Iqbal’s dance moves at a wedding. While Zaheer does not belong to a film family, he is the son of Salman’s close friend. While Pranutan is actors Monish Bahl and Ekta Bahl’s daughter and the late actor Nutan’s granddaughter.

The film which went on floors last October is now ready for release and the trailer of the film is finally out. The Notebook, which is a love story has been shot in the picturesque valley of Kashmir. The film has a very story book feel to it and has been beautifully shot. What is also beautiful about the film as seen in the trailer is how comfortable and real the debut actors look. It’s difficult to point out that both the actors are new and this is their debut film! The child actors who are all from Kashmir look like seasoned actors too, and it was surprising to know that they have never acted ever before.

Speaking to Hot Friday Talks, Pranutan said that she formed a special bond with the kids in the film as they lived together for two months and spent time with each other day and night. It was evident from the way the children clung to her during the sneak peek event of the trailer. She said, “It was very very cold there and I had to get used to the weather but we had a great time shooting in Kashmir.”

Zaheer too said that the people of Kashmir were very loving, warm and concerned about their well being. “The locals there were very caring and loving. They would come and ask us if we were fine or whether we needed anything. They are basically very warm people,” added Zaheer.

Recently after the cowardly attack on our brave CRPF jawans at Pulwama in Kashmir, Salman Khan Films and Cine1 Studios, decided to contribute Rs 22 lakhs to the families of the martyrs. The makers said that the entire crew could shoot safely in the valley only because of the Indian Army, the CRPF and also the people of Kashmir, who constantly made sure that there was law and order in the region even under the most extreme circumstances. They also have replaced Pakistani singer, Atif Aslam who had sung one song in the film. The song will be re-recorded in support of the complete ban on working with Pakistani artists in the wake of the attacks.

It’s said that Salman had been personally keeping a close watch on Zaheer’s preparations for the film. Zaheer has undergone training in action and dance. For Pranutan Bahl acting runs in her blood acting runs in her blood. She looks completely at ease and natural in her character of a school teacher in the film.

Notebook is produced by Salman’s production banner SKF along with Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde led Cine1 Studios. The trailer looks absolutely captivating and makes you want to know more about the film. Notebook releases on 29 March.
