Karan Johar announced via his Twitter handle that his next film, Student Of The Year 2 will hit the theaters in November this year. While Tiger Shroff plays the main male lead in the film, the female leads are yet to be finalised. Karan announced that he will be revealing the names of the two leading ladies too soon next month. It was being said that Chunky Panday’s gorgeous daughter Ananya Panday will be a part of the film, while some reports said that current Miss India / Miss World Manushri Chillar will be signing the film, but so far Karan has not confirmed the same.
While we need to wait a bit to know who the two female leads are for Student Of The Year 2 and what the story is going to be, let’s take a look at some of the fun facts about the original Student Of The Year!

Tiger Shroff plays the main lead in Student Of The Year 2, but did you know that his younger sister Krishna Shroff was offered a role for Student Of The Year(SOTY)? But she refused as she was not ready for films then.
Alia Bhatt was not the only one to audition for the role in SOTY, there were almost over 430 girls who auditioned for the role!
For her audition, Alia danced to the track Bahara from Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan starrer I Hate Luv Storys.
Before acting in SOTY, actors Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra were assistant directors who assisted Karan in the Shahrukh Khan starrer My Name is Khan.
Alia fainted at least 14 times during the filming because of fatigue!
But the effort that the team put in was worth it since the film was one of the biggest hits of the year.
