If you need to be shocked to your senses, the newest teaser of ‘Gold’ must be your top pick. It is one of the truest, hard hitting trailers of all time. The previous teaser, and now the recent one reveal that the story of the movie revolves around the India which was under the British rule. A man who is apparently a Bengali, played by Akshay Kumar, is all set to make India win the hockey tournament with his team.

Set to be released on the 15th of August, the teaser which already has a trend started as #StandUpForGold, makes us feel what every Indian felt when India was not independent. It starts with ‘please stand up for the National Anthem’, and after some time, the British National Anthem starts playing in the background with the picture of the British flag on screen. This surely makes us widely uncomfortable, but we understand that the directors took a huge risk to enlighten within us, the feelings of patriotism and passion for our country.

When the previous teaser came out, we saw how Akshay Kumar has been chosen to play a perfect ‘Bangali babu’ in the British world who is in love with the sport named ‘hockey’. Directed by Reema Kagti, this movie is going to showcase the pains of an Indian who made sure that every game in India would start after the Indian National Anthem has been played.

The movie is quite star-studded with actors from the big screen as well as the small screen. With Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor and others, it is indeed going to be a wonderful watch. It is again quite poignant that, the release date of Gold has been set on the 15th of August. What better way to instill the feelings of patriotism in within us than on the Independence Day itself!
