Tiger Zinda Hai: Crew Shoots  At The Real Hostage Hospital at Tikrit

Want to see the hospital where the Indian nurses were kept hostage in 2014?

As we mentioned a few days back, that the makers of Tiger Zinda Hai, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have retained many elements from the real-life incident that the film is based on. The film is about the 2014 incident where young Indian nurses cheated death while being held hostage by militants at a hospital in Tikrit in the battle-torn country of Iraq and director Ali Abbas Zafar has retained several elements from the crisis in the film.

The makers have shot in the same hospital that the incident took place in and the only thing that they have changed in the film is the name of the hospital from Tikrit to Ikrit. A source close to the film reveals, “The crisis unfolded at a hospital in the city of Tikrit. This hospital is part of the narrative in Tiger Zinda Hai. The name of the city has been changed to Ikrit in the film. The film has many other such details from the original incident which one will notice when the film releases.”

Director Ali Abbas Zafar also revealed that there are moments in the film that will remind people about the actual incident even though the film has been fictionalised. “There is a lot of moments in the film that will remind audiences of the actual incident in Iraq. Having said that, Tiger Zinda Hai is a complete fictional take on the crisis and our version of what Tiger would do in case a crisis was to happen for him to resolve,” he said.
Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the film just before Christmas on 22  December.
