The team of Shoojit Sircar’s underproduction film, October starring Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu are all set to celebrate with a small party.
The celebration is because the cast and crew have completed their Manali schedule and have wrapped up the shoot there. October is a slice-of-life love story, based in Delhi. Confirming the same, Sircar says,”Yes, there is a party. It is really cold in Manali and we have had an early morning flight to catch. We are happy and relieved that we have finished the shoot before time.”
Sircar also says his fondness for Delhi.”I find a lot of character in Delhi. I am familiar with the city and the people. It is always very comforting to return to Delhi. I will explore the romantic side of the city this time,” he says.
This is the first time Sircar will be working with Varun and he’s all praise for the actor. He says, “I think he is very bright. He is trying to open up to different genres. Actors should keep exploring different genres, stories, and directors. At the end of the day, you have to challenge yourself. We loved collaborating with Varun. It was a great atmosphere on the sets. It was never pack and to my room for Varun. He would usually hang out with the crew.”

Speaking about his female lead Banita he said, that he decided to cast Banita after directing her in one of his commercials.”It just so happened that the ad turned out to be really good and we found the character that we were looking for in her,” added Sircar.
October is produced by Ronnie Lahiri and written by Juhi Chaturvedi, who gave us films like Piku and Vicky Donor, while Sircar has directed both Piku and Vicky Donor besides the critically acclaimed Pink. With such a great team involved It gives us all the more reason to look forward to October.
The film is slated to release on 13 April 2018.
