The third installment of the Yamla Pagla Deewana film series, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se, is set to hit the screens soon and the makers have unveiled the trailer of the film today. While the first in the series was a superhit, the second installment did not manage to pull in the crowds as expected but this third installment looks like it’s back with a bang; full of fun, mischief, and action.
The trailer opens with Salman Khan’s voiceover introducing the film saying, “Iss film mein emotion hai, drama hai, tragedy hai aur bahut saare entertainment hai”(This story has emotions, drama, tragedy and a whole lot of entertainment). He then goes on to introduce the three characters in the film and gives a brief description of each one of them and what to expect from the characters.
Looks like Dharmendra has a colorful character in the film, while Sunny ‘paaji’ seems to have a more ‘gambir’ role and is shown pulling two tractors single-handedly with the strength of his ‘dhai kilo ka haath’, he’s also seen doing some cool action and the youngest Deol, Bobby seems to be a problem child in the film. Bobby is seen mimicking Dharmendra’s famous Sholay scene, where he is on the terrace of a building drunk and telling his ‘mohalle walo’ how his parents have named him Kaala!
The surprise pack, however, is the entry of Salman Khan in the film. He calls himself Mastana! As reported, Salman also has a dance cameo in the film. Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se is directed by Navaniat Singh and is a comic caper like the previous installments featuring the three Deols; Dharmendra, Sunny, and Bobby. Even though it is a sequel, the story of Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se is completely new.
Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se looks like a fun film. Before the release of the teaser, Sunny took to Twitter and shared a poster from the film featuring himself and captioned it, “Main hoon Pagla, naam toh suna hoga 😉 Triple dose of ENTERTAINMENT begins today with #YPDPhirSe! @aapkadharam @saregamaglobal @PenMovies @thedeol” Dharmendra too shared the poster and wrote, “Main hoon Yamla! Leke aa rahe hai bohot sara entertainment.” While the third poster was unveiled by Bobby Deol who wrote, “Mein hun Deewana… mujhe kuch naa samjhaana.
Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se also stars Kriti Kharbanda, Binnu Dhillon, Johnny Lever, Gurmeet Saajan and Rana Ranbir.Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se is set to release on August 15 along with Akshay Kumar’s Gold and John Abraham’s Satyame Vijayete. The trailer of the film will be released in the theaters along with Salman Khan’s next release Race this Friday.
