The makers of upcoming film Kesari have released the second song from its soundtrack titled Ajj Singh Garjega. This track has been composed by Chirrantan Bhatt, and sung by Britain-based bhangra artist, Jazzy B. The music video of this song has been released, and it shows us absolutely nothing other than an angry Akshay Kumar urging his fellow soldiers to hold fort in the war.

If you’ve watched the trailer of Kesari, you can just skip the music video of Ajj Singh Garjega. As a song itself, it’s an inspirational track. As the name suggests, it glorifies Sikhs. Its lyrics go, “Pagg rang kesari te gaale vich gaani. Baah vich kada jeh hai Singh di nishani. Chaudi chaati dul dul pendi hai jawnai. Singh mashoor saare dinde ne salami.” These lyrics have been penned by Kunwar Juneja. The overall composition of this song is not extraordinary, but it’s not bad either. It’s energetic, and has a very distinct bhangra vibe to it, despite it not being a dance number.

The release of this song was announced by Akshay Kumar via his Instagram feed yesterday, with the caption, “The loudest roar with the power of 21 Sikhs. #AjjSinghGarjega in the voice of the very talented @jazzyb out now!” Since it’s arrived on YouTube, its music video has crossed the 3 million mark in views.

The first song from the film to be released was Sanu Kehndi, which arrived a week ago, and has already crossed 15 million views. Kesari is a film starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra, which has been directed by Anurag Singh. This director is known for his Punjabi films, and this is only the second Hindi film of his career.

Kesari is slated to hit theatres across India on March 21.
