T-Series yesterday, released the music video for Khandaani Shafakhana’s ‘Saans Toh Le Le,’ which has been composed by Badshah. The entire soundtrack of the upcoming film is out now, with only one among the six songs having been composed by Badshah. His voice however, features in two other songs. In the film, he will be seen playing the role of a rapper named Gabru Ghaatak. This new song has Badshah singing ‘Saans Toh Le Le’ to Sonakshi Sinha’s character.

The song starts off with him speaking in the style of old school radio announcers and declaring the next song to be a dedication from a number of individuals. The song then changes its tone to a modern one, allowing the beat to pick up. The hook, which goes, “Nikle jab tu sadkon pe. Aate jaate ladkon ke, aiven BP se khele ae ae ae. Rukk ja baby saans toh le le. Saans toh le le,” has been composed well. The song starts getting drub when Badshah begins his tried and tested, formulaic rap portions. These could be inserted in any of his other songs, and nothing will be amiss.

Badshah and Rico, have sung the track, while the composition as well as the lyrics have been handled by Badshah alone. ‘Koka,’ the first song from the film to have been released has turned out to be quite a big hit. It has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi, and sung by Badshah, along with Jasbir Jassi and Dhvani Bhanushali. Khandaani Shafakhana’s story follows a Punjabi girl, played by Sonakshi Sinha, who is forced by circumstances to run a fertility clinic. This is a big challenge considering the conservative environment she lives in.

Directed by debutant Shilpi Dasgupta, Khandaani Shafakhana will be seen hitting theatres in India on August 2.
