T-Series is currently experimenting with mixing songs the most recent one is “Ban Ja Rani” from the movie Tumhari Sulu and “High Rated Gabru” which is Guru Randhawa’s Punjabi single.
Both the songs became popular in a very short span of time. The “Ban Ja Rani/ High Rated Gabru” mix is just so calm and yet exciting at the same time. The same goes for the rhythm of the song. The moment Neha Kakkar starts singing with “Ankhiyaan Nu Rehn De….” and later Guru Randhawa’s sings, “Aaja Ni Aaja Sohni…” they have already won over our hearts.
Guru Randhawa’s boyish charm with his ever magical voice is just what we all expected from this mixtape. The way they have beautifully woven the lyrics of both songs into each other, is just awe-inspiring. Occasional use of drums and soft whistles, acts like ‘cherry on the cake’. One cannot simply play this song once and get over with it. It has to be played on repeat mode.
Ban Ja Rani, was originally sung by Guru Randhawa in the year 2017 for Vidya Balan starrer ‘Tumhari Sulu’. It is a soft and romantic song. The music was given by Randhawa and Rajat Nagpal. Its lyrical video crossed over 50+ million views on YouTube.
High Rated Gabru, is also sung by Randhawa himself. This song became a massive hit in the country as well as overseas. The peppy lyrics and exotic location of this music video adds to its awesomeness.
Guru Randhawa was gained stardom due to his Bollywood musical debut, “Suit Suit” song which was recreated for Irrfan Khan’s Hindi Medium. His recent song ‘Lahore’ is also loved by masses a lot. His has won many awards including, Punjabi Music Award for Best Duo/Group.
