By now everyone is familiar with the Indo Kiwi singer- Shirley Setia. The first video that she released on the internet, a cover of the song “tum hi ho”, initiated a revolution whose burning flame has not yet been extinguished. She has been a sensational and talented young singer, not to mention her cute looks. Her YouTube channel is quite popular, and she is now the Millennials’ queen. Her channel has hit some staggering 6.5 lakhs subscribers with just 15 videos which have been viewed more than a million times. Her social media is replete with dedicated fans and followers who are all wishing her today (2nd July, 2018), as she turned a year older.

Why Is She Such A Phenomenal Sensation?

One of her very popular videos till date is “Sanam re” the title track originally sung by Arijit Singh from the movie that goes by the same name. This was uploaded some two years back and has already garnered 26 million (and counting) views on YouTube.

Equally baffling is her famous single “Bol do na zara” featuring Antareep Hazarika and Darrel Mascarenhas. The video is relatively simple and low key because her voice clearly does all the talking.

Her collaboration with Atif Aslam on the classic track, “Jab koi baat” featuring DJ Chetas is a popular number with an amazing sequence of beat drops that will only soothe your ears. Her voice is not just a treat to the ears but she herself is a delight to behold.

The magic spell of her cuteness has captivated quite a few. Her appearance it seems has been accentuated in the famous Punjabi track “Koi Vi nahi” along with Rajat Nagpal.

Does the list of popular YouTube sensations ever end? One major name along with Shirley is the boy band Sanam. Be it Backstreet boys, Westlife, or Blue we will never quite stop rooting for these incredible boy bands now, will we? Shirley and Sanam came together for the song “Kuch na kaho” and the consequence was catastrophic explosion, one that left her viewer drooling for more.

The famous, endlessly seductive song “kiss me” for the famous Dairy Milk Silk endorsement has been rendered even more soulful by the Shirley Setia and Arman Mallik’s cover of the same.

From the pajama pop star, she has clearly come a long way. Her charms are not confined to just the internet. She has even been performing in live shows. If you happen to come across one, buy the tickets and watch the masses go crazy!
