With the flourishing music industry that Bollywood has created, that day is not far when India will be rife with innumerable talented musicians. B town has always been renowned for its great music right from the very beginning. Be it the legends like Kishore Kumar or Rahul Dev Burman or the rockstars of the golden age of the 90s like Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, and Shaan or the millennial musicians like Arijit Singh and Amit Trivedi, Bollywood has never taken a back seat when it came to music. One such immensely popular and less celebrated musician produced by Bollywood is Shashwat Sachdev. He has profound knowledge of Hindustani classical music and is a trained western classical piano player. He got his big break in Bollywood by composing the music for the movie Phillauri, which came out in the year 2017, starring Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh, and since then, he has made his mark in the music industry. Some of the most viral tracks by the melody maker are:

Challa (Main Lad Jana), Uri: The Surgical Strike – The Patriotic Song Replete With Energy

The moment the song plays, the listeners are bound to be filled with an energy which comes from the deepest feelings of patriotism. The song will help the patriot rise up in you and fill you with immense love for the country. Uri: The Surgical Strike is that movie that has caused much hustle and bustle in B town and the music is equally great. Main Lad Jana has been composed by Shashwat Sachdev, and along with Romy and Vivek Hariharan, Sachdev has also crooned to the tunes of this lovely song. Challa has as many as four million views on YouTube.

Bajaake Tumba, Phillauri – The Song Which Sets You In Motion Instantly

Bollywood seems to be catching up with the dhamaka of Punjabi tracks. This peppy number from the movie Phillauri has been sung by Romy and Shashwat Sachdev has composed this rocking Punjabi wedding track. The typical bhangra number takes us back to those days when we would tap our feet to the beats of Sukhwinder Singh. The beat of the song picks up slowly and we love the Punjabi lyrics. The other songs of the movie like Naughty Billo and Dum Dum have also been composed by Shashwat Sachdev.

Title Song, Kaalakaandi – The Song Of Madness

The movie may not have left much of a mark at the box office, but the title track of Kaalakaandi did create ripples here and there. The powerful rendition by Vivek Hariharan and the composition by Shashwat Sachdev have made this crazy song quite memorable. The quirky title track showed us what kind of a rare talent Shashwat Sachdev is to Bollywood.

Veere Di Wedding Songs – The Endless Dhamaka

The movie had some questionable script, yes, but what made the movie a hit (other than Swara Bhaskar) was the music of Veere Di Wedding. The title of the movie gave away that it was supposed to be filled with rocking numbers, and it did live up to our expectations. The movie had multiple music composers and Shashwat Sachdev rocked it with numbers like Pappi Le Loon, which was an instant hit for he crooned to its tunes along with Sunidhi Chauhan. Shashwat Sachdev also composed and sang Bhangra Ta Sajda, a peppy Punjabi track and Bass Gira De Raja. For Bass Gira De Raja, it was Sachdev who played the role of the lyricist as well.

He has already proved his worth in Bollywood by giving us these amazing tracks and we are waiting to hear more from this storehouse of talent.
