The trend was initiated by our very own Yo Yo Honey Singh, who wrote the break up song and inspired a few heartbroken lovers to go through the tough time of a break up. Then came Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Singh with another break up song to strengthen the broken heart. That break up song from the movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was still fresh in pur minds when the Indian Idol star, Neha Kakkar came up with another version of Tera Ghata. The masala in this piece of news is that she lent her voice to the song right after her own break up with Himansh Kohli.
Tera Ghata was originally sung, written, and composed by Gajendra Verma, but this song is apparently touching new heights when the Dilbar singer crooned to the tunes of this song. It is needless to say that she has sung pretty well, given that she is a talented singer. However, all said and done, the video of the song reeked of unnecessary drama. We wonder if the 22 million views that the video boasts of on YouTube are because of the song or is it because of the dramatic Neha who, with her eye movements and posing in front of the orange wall seems to be enticing the audience.
Neha clearly has taken the break up with her beau Himansh Kohli in her stride for she very confidently says “iss dil ko yeh samjha liya humne.” Neha is as open about her break up as she was about the link up. The two had made their relationship official on national television. However, as all good things come to an end, so did this relationship. These two, like any millennial couple, unfollowed each other on Instagram, and that was when we had a hunch of their break up.

She has made it pretty obvious.
Neha’s soulful voice, her charming looks, her amazingly draped saree and that fashionable blouse has not stopped us from speculating that when she says “isme tera ghata” it is entirely dedicated to her ex, Himansh. Even though there is endless drama here and the song offers nothing new, we cannot ignore how mellifluous Neha’s voice is.
So, beginning of the year saw an end of Nehansh. We do not hope to see couples parting ways any more, and we hope and pray that the two find their ways soon enough.
