Continuing its legacy of adding party songs as a marketing tool, Race 3 has dropped the fourth song of the album – “Party Chale On”. This is the second party song preceded by “Heeriye”, where Jacqueline Fernandez has been appreciated for her sensuous dance moves. Though the latest addition catches our attention right away, we soon start wondering if it was actually needed in the movie!

The peppy number has been officially released on YouTube on 7 June, 2018. Hardik Acharya has penned down the lyrics of the song, which has been given music to by the music composer duo Vicky-Hardik. It has been sung by Mika Singh and Iulia Vantur, and is mixed by Eric Pillai who runs the recording setup ‘The Future Sound of Bombay’.

Moving on to the 168-second long video, it features the lead cast of the movie – Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Freddy Daruwala, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah. The song takes place in a club, where Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez gulp down shots, get drunk and suddenly start singing. They are soon joined by the other members of the cast.

As with any other party song, all you see in this one, are well-dressed people dancing on the floor with a bar stand at the corner. Jacqueline looks gorgeous in her peach-colored gown and dances well, but we want to see what she actually does in the movie other than dancing to party songs. By the middle of the song, you start getting vibes of “Hum Hai India Vaale” (from Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’) and “Badtameez Dil” (from Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’) due to the same kind of music and nightclub background.

Though the music is actually enjoyable, the lyrics speak of intoxication slightly setting in after a couple of drinks. Other than the constant mention of ‘shots’ and ‘booze’, the number is the same old party song we have been listening to since forever.
