Neeti Mohan has climbed the ladder of success with much grace. She became one of the leading singers of Bollywood following her participation in Channel V’s Popstars and her being chosen eventually for Aasma along with a few others. She appeared in various reality shows as a judge like The Voice India Kids (1st season) and The Voice India (2nd Season). She has lent her magical voice to innumerable Bollywood movie songs but some of her songs are unforgettable; they left an indelible mark on our hearts and we cannot stop listening to them on loop!
Ishq Wala Love From Student of the Year
Her debut as a playback singer in Bollywood was with the track Ishq Wala Love from Student of the Year (2012). The soundtrack of this movie was composed by the famous duo Vishal and Shekhar. The soft ballad became an instantaneous hit and emerged to be the love anthem of college going adolescents who are in love. She sang this beautiful track along with Salim Merchant and Shekhar Ravjiani. This song made Neeti not just immensely popular but also one of our favorites.
Jiya Re From Jab Tak Hain Jaan
Neeti surely did a great job in bringing the song to life in Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture Jab Tak Hain Jaan (2012) featuring none other than SRK. The song is very spunky and who could have pulled it off better than Neeti? It was composed by A R Rahman and her voice in this is pulsating with energy, radiance and vigor.
Har Kisiko Nahi Milta from Boss
The remake of the famous song for the movie Boss (2013), originally from the movie Janbaaz (1986) is a very popular track among Neeti’s other performances. Singing alongside Arijit Singh the track wouldn’t have done just as good without her soulful voice. The remake of the song wouldn’t be able to recreate the magic like the original did without Neeti.
Tu Hi Tu (Reprise) From Kick
This melodious and soothing number from the Sajid Nadiadwala directed action film Kick (2014), established Neeti Mohan’s versatility as a singer all over again. The original (male) version was sung by Mohammed Irfan and the credits for the beautiful music direction goes to none other than Himesh Reshammiya.
Kheech Meri Photo From Sanam Teri Kasam
It is an extremely raunchy track with quirky and catchy lyrics from the movie Sanam Teri Kasam (2016). The reckless but controlled playfulness of her voice in this is unmatched. The music has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya again. It garnered popularity within a few hours of being released and hence remains one of the most loved tracks by Neeti.
It is impossible to assign a hierarchy to her songs because they are all so amazing. She has sung popular songs like Tune Mari Entriyan from Gunday and Kashmir Mai tu Kanyakumari from Chennai Express. Recently she sang two tracks for Hate Story 4, namely Boond Boond and Naam hain mera. She had also released a track called Udne de in the wake of the Nirbhaya incident.
