New on the trending section of YouTube is a song called Bhangre Wala Gana from Punjabi artist Gagan Wadali. Released by Ramaz Music, this track is claiming to be the wedding anthem of the year, but it’s too far away from being that.
There’s practically nothing unique in Bhangre Wala Gana. It can best be described as a repetition of cliché. You’ve heard these bhangra beats before, the lyrics are monotonous and even the video has nothing new to offer.
Yet, this song has managed to garner more than a million views on YouTube. A big reason for this might be the slight popularity of Gagan Wadali’s previous song titled Kiwain Kara Pyar which was released in October this year.
Just like Bhangre Wala Gana, the music for that song too was composed by Aar Bee. It seems that the immense popularity that some Punjabi music videos are currently enjoying on YouTube is encouraging more and more musicians to try and make it big. And the trend is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Bhangre Wala Gana is most likely a result of the same trend. Neither its music nor its music video is that appealing. Perhaps this is the reason why the video has been so slow in reaching the 1 million views mark.
