People are nowadays leaving no stones unturned to get the job of their dreams. That is what means the world to them because without a job we have no identity. People work very hard each day to fulfill their aims and aspirations, they want to be the best at their job and given the current state of the competition that prevails in each and every sector of professional life, it is obvious that people would want to land in their dream job and make something worthwhile out of their lives.
Nowadays, colleges provide placement options, in which the students can get their jobs even before they have graduated. Other than this, there is the option of career fests. Career fests are the events in which employers or provide job seekers with the basic information and let them know all they need to know about various jobs. In career fests, the job seekers do their best to create a good first impression. They hold a face to face conversation with the various employers. It is these fests in which they can get their questions answered on various job profiles. After all, it is best to be equipped with all the knowledge you need before you actually start applying.

However appealing the idea may sound in your head, career fests have their negative sides too. It is not always helpful to attend a career fest, especially if you are an introvert. And even if you are an extrovert, there are high chances of you collapsing midway because career fests are extremely crowded places. For all you know if you are an introvert, you will be bored and tired after a while because you did not get to speak to any of the employers. And even if you did, they probably could not satisfy you with suitable responses to your queries.
The chances of you landing your dream job through career fests are very low. There are far better ways which will help you get your dream job, and that too in a much more comfortable manner. Career fests are not the place where you may expect to find what you are looking for. It especially will not work for the ones who are unsure of the kind of job they want to settle down with.
However, career fests are not completely without a positive side, and some of the benefits of career fests are:
- It is useful to help you build your networks
- You will get to know a bit about job interviews
- You will have firsthand knowledge about the kind of job you are fit for.
Although not absolutely beneficial, career fests may help a few, even though the means are limited.
