Nora Fatehi, the Canadian-Moroccan beauty is a name best known for the Dilbar song in Milap Zaveri’s movie Satyamev Jayate. The song is a rendition of the iconic 1999 song that was performed by none other than Sushmita Sen. The recreated music track starring Nora peaked not only in India but on Global YouTube charts, leaving behind songs like Maroon 5’s Girls Like You. But look like this high soaring success of Nora is just the beginning of a higher flight, as now she will be joining the cast of the next Salman Khan starrer, Bharat.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat is a remake of the 2014 South Korean movie Ode to My Father. The movie is being produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Bhushan Kumar. Apart from Salman and Nora, the film also boasts a hefty cast including Tabu, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover playing pivotal roles. Among this array of big names, Nora, technically a newcomer, is admittedly very excited to be part of a project of this magnitude. According to her, the chance of working on a project where Ali Abbas Zafar and Salman Khan are working together was reason enough for her to take up the role that she has been offered.

Recently the director of the movie took to his twitter to announce that the shooting for the movie has been kick-started. Reportedly set in the backdrop of India in 1947 and the years that followed, Bharat will take the audience through a journey, showing different events that occurred during the partition. It will also envelope the following seventy years after the fateful political disaster, the scars of which still remain on the minds of the general population of the countries on either side of the whimsical border.

In the movie, Nora will be playing the role of a Latino. Elaborating further on her character, Ali Abbas Zafar explained to the media, that contrary to popular speculations, Nora will not be seen in the movie for a mere item song. Her character is indeed a significant part of the plot and she will be seen sharing screen with the characters of both Salman Khan and Sunil Grover. Apparently, the character of Nora will appear in the plot during the mid-80’s portion of the movie.

On another news, director Ali Abbas Zafar shared the news that Priyanka Chopra is no longer a part of Bharat and the reason as he says, is very special, with a clever hint at Nick Jonas and her relationship. So, all eyes are on the makers to see who is going to replace her now. Bharat is scheduled to release on Eid 2019 and we are waiting for a great movie.
