Since the time of announcement that “Arjun Reddy” would be remade in Hindi, fans were curious regarding the choice of the female lead. If you didn’t know already, Sandeep Vanga’s superhit Telugu-drama “Arjun Reddy” was one of the most successful movies in the Telugu movie industry last year. The story revolves around a medical student with severe anger management issues, his self-destructive attitude and his love for his junior, Preethi.
After a lot of speculation, the “Padmaavat” actor Shahid Kapoor will be playing the lead role in the Hindi version. There are also rumors that Tara Sutaria would be playing the female lead of the movie, which was later cancelled due to some reasons. However, now it has been confirmed that Kiara Advani has agreed to the play the female titular role in the Hindi remake of “Arjun Reddy”.

The original Telugu-version movie starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey, and it went on to become a huge commercial success and won critical acclaim in the industry. “Arjun Reddy” would be remade in Tamil as “Varma” with Dhruv Vikram and Megha in the lead roles, which will be released in November this year.
Believe it or not, Advani was always the first choice for the heroine opposite Shahid Kapoor. In fact, Advani and Vanga had discussed the possibilities of working, which was cut short when they suffered some date issues as the movie was to be released in August. As things turned out, “Arjun Ready” was decided to be released in June next year. Now Advani has started working with Vanga for the movie. Believed to be one of the most challenging roles for Advani till now, she is very excited about the heroine having several layers to her character.

Now that Advani has signed up for the movie, she will be required to undergo a number of variations to play her character well. The story takes a number of leaps, yet Vanga believes that she has the innocent charm and the mature performance in her favor, which is very important for her role as Preethi.
Advani who had made her debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story” was next seen in Netflix’s “Lust Stories”. We are eagerly for this fresh screen pairing, and the remake itself. The “Arjun Reddy” Hindi remake will be released on 21 June, 2019.
