These two new-generation Bollywood sweethearts are now actually working together on a project, that too with none other than, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali!

Every Bollywood lover will agree that to this day, whenever “Aaj Din Chadheya” plays anywhere, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s voice unmistakably takes us back to the scenes of Love Aaj Kal, the face of the fresh in Bollywood, Deepika Padukone, the still cute Rishi-Neetu Kapoor. It has been exactly a decade of that iconic millennial love story that tried to connect love stories of different generations.
We all know that Imtiaz Ali creates stories that hit a little different, and Love Aaj Kal is no exception. That is why it is so exciting that the fresh pair of Sara-Kartik is working with this magical storyteller. But what is even more amusing is that the movie that the pair is working in is tentatively titled “Love Aaj Kal 2”. That’s right! Even though the movie might have a new title when it is released this Valentine’s Day, it is certain that it will indeed be a sequel to Love Aaj Kal, movie that starred Sara’s father Saif Ali Khan playing the role of both the new age and the older generation protagonist! How cool is that!
The buzz about Sara and Kartik working together has been going around for a while now- with pictures that spotted the two shooting together and then an unverified leaked footage of them doing a kissing scene went viral. But the rumours were finally put to rest, (or set on a blaze) when both the actors posted a still from their ongoing project- the couple cozied up in a dim lit room, with captions that confirmed that they are indeed working together in a film.
Needless to say, this official first look has fans’ hearts racing in anticipation for the movie. You know hearts will ache and break when Imtiaz is behind the lens. But it will be exciting to see what this new pair brings to the table.
