When Zarine Khan entered the film industry, with the 2010 movie named Veer opposite Salman Khan, she already had a benefit. Apart from being launched by Salman Khan in his movie, Zarine’s uncanny resemblance with Katrina Kaif, instantly grabbed the attention of many. Although her career in Bollywood has not been extremely successful, her performance in Veer, however, was appreciated and she also went on to win awards for the best debut actress in that year. As this charming actress turns 31 today (14th May, 2018), let us scan through some of her best performances:
Rose In 1921 (2018)

Released in January 2018, the Bollywood horror movie 1921 features Zarine as the female lead, Rose. Even though critics found a lot of legitimate inconsistencies in the character construction, Zarine did justice in her portrayal as much as she could.
Sheena In Aksar 2 (2017)

Released in 2017, the movie had Zarine playing a character named Sheena Roy who is hired as a governess of an old widow, Dolly Khambata but she actually works behind everyone’s back to bag her property.
Siya In Hate Story 3 (2015)

Even though this suspense thiller was not a box office success, Zarine grabbed a lot of eyeballs, especially because of her looks and appeal. There was not much scope for her to show her acting chops in the script however.
JLo In Housefull 2 (2012)

Housefull 2 had a mixed reaction from the audience upon its release. The infamous franchise is known to not have too much space for its female characters. Being one of the four female leads, in whatever space she was given in the plot, Zarine did her best in her performance.
Yashodhara In Veer (2010)

Given that it was her debut, in this epic love story, Zarine did quite a good job in carrying the weight of being a female lead in the Salman Khan movie. The audience instantly fell for her Katrina resembling face and the girl next door charm.
Even though she is moving at a slower pace in her career, Zarine is surely not the one to give up as she has quite a few movies lined up for her next. She is currently learning Haryanvi for her next release, One Day, where she will play a cop, and share screen with veteran actor Anupam Kher. She is also set to share screen with Irrfan Khan in another upcoming movie Divine Lovers. Here’s wishing her a very happy birthday!
