Since the time of our schooling, upbringing and since the time we were old enough to understand things; quotes, thoughts, inspirational speeches have impacted our lives in a great way. Our parents, teachers, elder and respective people around us have always given us an example of ethics, morals and values through quotes composed by significant people over the world. My school had a ritual to search a good thought or quote and then narrate and explain its meaning and implement it in real life as well. I still remember when I was in 5th grade back then I was supposed to say a quote in the assembly. How nervous I was back then! I don’t remember the chills it spent through my spine because of stage fear but I still remember the quote I said; “You can take a horse to water; but can’t make it drink”. I was not old enough to understand its meaning exactly at that time but now I know very well what it meant. It meant until and unless a person is not willing to do anything from within or with his own wish however hard you try you can’t force him to do it.

There are beautiful and meaningful quotes by many motivational speakers of India; I have picked up seven out of so many but there are not just seven quotes they are influential for you to implement it during times of trial. Let’s have a look them:

Sadhguru:

Jaggi Vasudev known publicly as Sadhguru, is an Indian yogi and author. Sadhguru is popular in all age groups and all over the world. Many youngsters seek help from him through Isha foundation at Coimbatore and follow his footprints of serving mankind selflessly.

“Life knows no failure. Failure exists only for those who are always comparing themselves with others”. – Sadhguru.

We spend our lives comparing ourselves with other people’s success and achievements and get disheartened; what we forget is that we are unique in our own way. If we stop comparing there won’t be any failures or assumptions of failures left in mankind.

Dalai Lama:

The 14th Dalai lama is the current Dalai lama, the highest spiritual leader of Tibet, and considered a living Buddha.

“The planet does not need more successful people. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers and lovers of all kinds.” – Dalai Lama.

We are short of people who give out oxygen to this planet, who believe in selfless love, who are real peace makers, who don’t find pleasure in others’ failures, people who share knowledge, and who can heal others with their positivity. Success is limited to that particular person himself but a person with the qualities mentioned above spreads love all around.

Paulo Coelho:

Paulo Coelho is a Brazilian author. When he was 38 years old, he had a spiritual awakening in Spain and wrote about it in his first book, The Pilgrimage.

“One day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you have always wanted. Do it now”. – Paulo Coelho.

How much do we take life for granted! Really! We assume that there are many tomorrows to chase our dreams; but nobody knows how much tomorrows we have, so whatever dreams you have got; chase it now.

Sandeep Maheshwari:

His name is among the millions who struggled, failed and surged ahead in search of success, happiness and contentment. Just like any another middle class he struggled his way towards success. He has become a youth icon in a very short time, he gives motivational speeches which are very essential today.

“Always remember you are much bigger than your problems” – Sandeep Maheshwari

My calculations about this quote is that often when problems knock on our door we feel terribly depressed and assume that there’s no way out, but the reality is far more different. If we know our worth, we won’t let problems overpower our inner peace. The quote may be too small but holds an important meaning.

Gaur Gopal das:

He was born in Pune, Maharashtra, India. He completed his schooling from Pune he is a diploma holder in electrical engineering and later joined Iskon.

“We don’t laugh at the same joke again. Why do we cry on the same problem again?” – Gaur Gopal Das.

We give more importance to problems, tragedies and bad phases in life, and equally focus less on blessings, achievements and happiness. If pleasurable moments are not recalled often then why upsetting things should be remembered every now and then.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar:

Ravi Shankar is an Indian Spiritual leader. He is frequently referred to as ‘Shri Shri’, guruji, or gurudev. He founded the art of living.

“Know that you are never given a problem that you cannot handle. When you invoke this energy, this challenge in you; fear vanishes.” – Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

We all have strength far beyond our imagination, when we challenge our inner strength the fear no longer exists. The fear is there as long as you run away from it, but the moment you realize your strength it no longer bothers you.

Louise L Hay:

Louise hay was a multi-national best-selling Author, speaker, model, actress, activist and founder of the successful publishing company.

“Raise your self-esteem to such a level that you only allow loving experiences in your life. Don’t waste your life trying to ‘get even’. It doesn’t work. What we give out always comes back to us. So let’s drop the past and work on loving ourselves in the now. Then we will have a wonderful future”. – Louise L Hay

Often our energies are wasted on things that are not essential in life, insignificant incidents of the past still hold regrets in present life; which should be released. The mind should be trained in a way where only loving and good experiences should be given importance, we should rather use our potential in improvisation of the self.

I hope that this tradition of inculcating motivational thoughts in our daily lives stays intact and gets passed on generations to generations. If we really go by the quotes of spiritual leaders and speakers on daily basis there can be a transformation within us which can help us survive through bad phases in our lives and it can help us work our way through life peacefully. I believe that “A life isn’t a life worth living; without inner peace”! I hope that all my friends and readers reading this find their way out through the difficulties and obtain their desired accomplishments. Hope you liked this one!
