Sindhi curries or main course dishes are often classified into 5 cooking styles

Onion tomato based curry that is a type of preparation called ‘Daagh mein’. Oil sautéed chopped onion and pressure cooked tomatoes provide sweetness of caramelized onions and blanched tomatoes.

Daas – Whole vegetables like apple gourds, bitter gourds or capsicum are stuffed with mixture of onion and Sindhi pesto and cooked till tender.

Beans and lentils are popular in Sindhi food which includes three lentil mixtures called Tidali dal, Punjabi style Panchratni dal, Raanh (black eyed beans), Chola (Garbanzo beans), Yellow lentils.

Sindhi people love Bhee (Lotus stem) and Swanjhro (drumstick flowers and tender drumsticks, both fresh and dried) and spicy Amritsar vadis.

For the sweet tooth you have Gulabjamuns, rabri, Malpua, falooda, Singhar Ji mithai, Narel ji mithai, Attey ja ladoo, Kajukatri and Gheear. Then there is Praghri and Majoon.
