A population of over 1.3 billion spread over 29 states is a country which is the seventh largest in the world with diversities that is unimaginable and some even undiscovered till date. We celebrate a festival here every day, in some part of the country or the other. Although, there are a few festivals that bring the whole country together in celebration of the triumph of good over evil. Yes, it is indeed Diwali that is celebrated almost across the country, in varying intensity. The festival of lights brings families together, no matter how far they live. Diwali is synonymous to lights, love, partying and, of course, food.

Given its diversity, it is no surprise that people celebrate Diwali in their own way, cooking their own delicacies that are typical to the state. More than meals, expect a lot of mithai and bhajia during Diwali.
