Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba is one of the most awaited films as not only Ranveer fans but the audience is eager to watch Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan make her debut with the film. While their wish will be fulfilled soon, there’s some sad news for all R Madhavan fans.
R Madhavan who was set to play the villain in Simmba will not be part of the film anymore.The reason being his injury, it seems like besides leaving his fans heartbroken, the actor too is heartbroken himself as he tweeted; “Hey folks .. So I am a huge crazy fan of Rohit Shetty and his films. As is my son. It breaks both our hearts that I’m not able to be a part of this film because of my injury. I’m well on my way to recovery but this is a huge opportunity and excitement lost.”

Madhavan was supposed to play an important role in the film, the same role had been offered to Abhishek Bachchan prior to Madhavan.Simmba is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Dharma Productions. While Sara Ali Khan was roped in recently to play the female lead in the film, Ranveer Singh was the first one to be signed for the film.
The film is said to be an action drama and will go on floors sometime in April this year. Madhavan was very excited about the film and after signing the film he had previously shared his excitement in an interview.He had spoken about how Ranveer and he would be working together for a film and how Ranveer would be seen performing some great action sequences. The two have earlier worked together for a commercial.
Simmba is said to release in December this year. Who will replace Madhavan, will it be Abhishek Bachchan or will the makers sign someone else from the South? I guess we’ll have to wait and watch!
