Aditi Rao Hydari seems to be on a mission to win over the heart of South India. Just a year after mesmerizing the Tamil movie fans with her debut Tamil film Kaatru Veliyidai under the direction of Mani Ratnam, she is fully geared up to step into the Telegu film industry now. She is currently working on the project with the National Award-winning filmmaker Indraganti Mohan Krishna. The movie’s official title -Sammohanam – was announced this February and the script is being said to be that of a light-hearted romantic drama. Starring opposite Aditi is Sudheer Babu as the male lead.
The teaser of Sammohanam was released recently and people are already left in deep anticipation of the movie’s release. The teaser gives a brief glimpse of a cheerful romance between the two characters -an actress and a boy who is an outsider in the industry. The character of Aditi Rao Hydari has a very close resemblance to her off-screen, real self – a chirpy, bubbly actress, who thinks of cinema as nothing better than a farce. The short teaser aptly lays down the outline of the story- how two people from completely different circumstances end up on the same plane.

The characters – Sudheer and Samira – as well as the actors playing the characters, offer a very contrasting shade to the movie. On one hand, Sudheer is seen trying to know the real Sameera, and on the other, Sameera is trying to make out Sudheer’s impression and understanding of her profession. Shot in picturesque locations, the film mainly revolves around these two characters and their chemistry – the love and the pain that they both experience. But the teaser ends on a cliff hanger that is surely intriguing enough to drag a host of viewers to the theatre.

Aditi has been very sincerely working on this project and to keep it as real and authentic as possible, she will be dubbing for the film herself. The movie’s teaser has led people to think if it is inspired by “Notting Hill.” Director Indraganti, a devoted tracker of world cinema, takes this as a compliment, while affirming that whichever film he pays tribute to through Sammohanam will receive its due credit.
Set to release on 15th June this year, the movie also features Tanikela Bharani, Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh in supporting roles. The music of the movie is under the supervision of Vivek Sagar. As a whole, the movie seems to be a package treat to the audience.
