The Indian music vista has witnessed some of the most spectacular performances by the greatest international bands. India hosts some massive music festivals starting from NH7 weekender to Sunburns. Various artists, singers, and DJs come together to create good music and a lot of magic. The lineups are so impressive that it will blow you off. From Steven Wilson to Megadeth, India has had it all.
Here are a few international bands which performed in India
Coldplay
Their biggest tour took place sometime back in 2016 and guess what, India was definitely a part of it. A head full of dreams tour was their official 7th concert after the relatively brief ghost stories tour; they performed in Mumbai on the 19th of November 2016 at the MMRDA grounds. Their video “Hymn for the Weekend” was set in India and also features Sonam Kapoor. The tickets were priced at a staggering 50k but Chris Martin is surely priceless!

This American pop band headlined the NH7 Weekender music festival in Pune this last December along with Steve Vai. Yes! India’s music scenario is growing fascinatingly. They are one of the hottest Indie rock bands. They work progressively on melodic, dream pop and noir. If you haven’t listened to them yet, it’s time to start updating your playlist.
Metallica

This heavy metal band performed in Bangalore back in 2016. Looks like it was an eventful year music wise. The rock and metal fans cheered them on.
The Chainsmokers

This duo had a sweeping India tour last year. They performed in Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Race Course and followed by Delhi NCR. Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart are the hottest EDM duo and they kick-started their Asia tour with two massive gigs in India. They played various songs from their new album – memories like Bloodstream.
Megadeth

American thrash metal band Megadeth performed at the Nicco Park Grounds in Kolkata for the NH7 Weekender in 2016. The festival also featured some of the most iconic rock acts. Sadly Kolkata had to abandon their NH7 scenes because of a dearth of sponsorship.
All music lovers keep an eye on the lineups for these festivals. VH1 supersonic threw a sweeping performance recently in Pune.
