1. Good Girls Revolt In This 60s New York Drama

The series premiered in 2015

This drama is still airing on Amazon and is based around the New York work life in the late 60s. The setting is based in a magazine office called News of the Week and much of the show is based on real life events from the time. In focus is a group of young and smart women who work at the office, but who are relegated to secretarial and assistant posts as women are still not allowed to take on the higher roles, even though most of them are smarter and much more hard-working than the men they work for.

2. The Good Wife Who Moves From Comfortable Housewife To Competitive Lawyer

 

The series premiered in 2009

While a lot of us could have easily been misled by the title, taking it as anything but a real piece of art when it comes to portraying some edgy work culture, this political and legal American series follows the life of its female protagonist who has to come back to her career in law after her husband gets involved in a sex and political corruption scandal. From a housewife who was living a life of comfort to being in the middle of workplace action, the series shows how sometimes, our professional and personal lives can get merged.

3. Mad Men And The World Of Advertising

 

The series premiered in 2007

This vintage styled series is set in the New York of 1960s and revolves around a team of advertising professionals who work at a firm called Sterling Cooper. The series shows the many corporate and business decisions and problems the companies go through, along with various other issues such as office politics and the personal issues that the employees are going through. It also focuses on the concepts of growth in a corporate world by sticking to your own and not taking no for an answer.

4. Damages That Play With Your Brain And Blur The Right And Wrong

 

The series premiered in 2007

This cutting edge work based series focuses on a legal firm and is a great watch if you’re looking at high drama, scandal, thrill, killing schedules and a never-accept-no attitude that shows how big law firms get their deals and mergers done, and what all games happen behind the closed doors. This thriller revolves around a young law intern Ellen and her ruthless mentor and boss lawyer Patty Hewes and captures the blurring of their professional and personal lives.
