Mental Hai Kya, the Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer, is all set to be released in May. The film also stars Amyra Dastur who plays Rao’s love interest. However, recently, while Kangana and Rajkummar wrapped up the shoot, the makers are again shooting some additional scenes with Amyra Dastur now. As per the reports, the makers are of the view that Amyra needs more screen-space in order to enhance the story-line. Also, these fresh scenes will make the viewers understand the story better.

Amyra confirmed the news by saying that while editing the movie, the makers realized that they needed a few additional scenes with her in order to enhance the flow of the story and to help the viewers understand the narrative better. So, she is now shooting some fresh scenes for the movie. She is pretty thrilled to be a part of the silver screen and to share the screen space with Ranaut and Rao. She said that the newly shot scenes will magnify her relationship with Ranaut in the movie. For the makers, the additional scenes would help establish the bond between Kangana and Amyra’s character. Working with Kangana and Raj has been a dream come true for Amyra though, which she has mentioned in all her interviews regarding the movie till now.
The film was planned to be released in March but now it has been postponed till May or even June. Amyra’s character is very important in the movie and it plays a crucial part in the development of Rao and Ranaut’s characters in the film. Hence, the makers didn’t want to take a chance. For the filmmakers, Amyra said only positive words. For her, it was like a homecoming to work on Mental Hai Kya. She had worked with Shailesh R. Singh before for Issaq, her first movie in Bollywood, and therefore, according to her, she trusts him blindly.
The movie is said to be a lot different from what we have seen until now. The film will portray the acting sides of Ranaut and Rao which we haven’t seen so far, as per reports. So, it’s going to keep the audiences in awe all throughout the movie. The movie is a psychological thriller and quite bold in its approach. All we can now do is wait for it to get released. Rao and Ranaut were last seen in Queen which was loved by the viewers. We sincerely wish that Mental Hai Kya gets the same amount of love and appreciation from the mass.
