Raasleela From 3 Storeys Brings Back The Falguni Pathak Magic

This impressive song is sure to be a hit this garba season

The impressive little album that 3 Storeys has been, also includes a garba number titled Raasleela. It’s a melodious track that no doubt takes some inspiration from the unforgettable Falguni Pathak songs from the yesteryear, and yet, maintains beautiful originality.

Amjad Nadeem is the music director on this song, while it has been sung by Sumedha Karmahe. The song doesn’t try to be over-the-top by any means. It maintains a slow pace and lets the melody take the reigns of the entire affair. The chorus is joyful and musically heavy, but it’s melancholic and smooth.

Sumedha Karmahe’s voice enhances the song’s appeal furthermore. It sounds mature yet eager to fall in love, which is essentially what the song is all about. The lyrics have been penned by Alaukik Rahi & Amjad Nadeem, who have done a great job at keeping the garba trope alive, while also staying true to the film’s demands.

Bas Tu Hai is another song from 3 Storeys that we quite liked when we first heard it. Sung by Arijit Singh, it has the ace singer at his romantic best. His voice adds to the emotions being portrayed by the song, and makes you wonder if any other singer can create the same magic.

Bas Tu Hai is essentially a romantic song, but features a tinge of nostalgia that has been embedded into it by the makers. A soft piano piece acts as a background for the music, even as the guitar and drums provide the base for the singers to chime in.

This film is the latest venture from Excel Entertainment, which is sharing the production duties with B4U. It’s a thriller drama directed by Arjun Mukerjee. The film gathers an ensemble cast consisting of Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Sharman Joshi and Renuka Shahane. The story of this flick revolves around the three floors of a lively chawl in Maya Nagar, Mumbai. It aims to be a playful and moving study of intricately intertwined lives of the people living in a city.

Bas Tu Hai is slated to hit theatres on March 9.
