Rani Mukherjee & Aditya Chopra
After months of speculation on the engagement of Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra, the couple finally made it official and tied the knot in a hush-hush ceremony in Italy in 2014. It was an intimate affair and only a close bunch were present for this happy occasion. Rani announced a day later in a press statement, “I know that all my well-wishers who have waited for this day will be really happy for me. It was a beautiful wedding in the Italian countryside with just a few of our close family and friends with us.”
Kunal Kapoor & Naina Bachchan
In 2015, actor Kunal Kapoor got married to Naina Bachchan, daughter of Ramola and Ajitabh Bachchan in an intimate beach ceremony on an island in the Seychelles with only their immediate families present. As Kunal has always been known to do things his own way and a quiet wedding fell right in line. Kunal and Naina were introduced to each other by Naina’s cousin Shweta Bachchan Nanda.
John Abraham & Priya Runchal
John Abraham started the year 2014 by breaking zillion hearts. He took to Twitter, to break the news of his marriage with Priya Runchal in a very tactful manner. Confirming his marriage news, he mentioned in his tweet, “Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed 2014! May this year bring you love, good fortune, and joy. Love, John and Priya Abraham”.
Minissha Lamba & Ryan Tham
It was July 2015, when Shahid Kapoor’s wedding to Mira Rajput was grabbing headlines and also Mila Kunis’ secret wedding to Ashton Kutcher took the internet by storm. Amid all those wedding headlines, Minissha Lamba quietly got married to longtime boyfriend Ryan Tham. Though the wedding came as a big surprise to people, it was expected from Minissha, who’s a private person and prefers to stay away from the media glare. Actress Pooja Bedi, who is Ryan’s cousin, was the first to break the news when she posted a tweet welcoming Minissha to the family.

Urmila Matondkar & Mohsin Akhtar Mir
In March 2016, in a quiet ceremony, Urmila Matondkar got married to Kashmir-based businessman Mohsin Akhtar Mir at the actress’ residence. They were keen to keep their wedding simple and intimate, hence only family and the dearest of the couple’s friends were a part of the ceremony, which was solemnized as per Hindu rituals. No one from the film industry was invited to the wedding except designer Manish Malhotra, who is Matondkar’s closest friend. Manish Malhotra shared some pics of the beautiful bride, which is how the news went viral.
Preity Zinta & Gene Goodenough
Just a few days before Urmila Matondkar’s wedding news was out, Preity Zinta tied the nuptial knot with her long-time boyfriend Gene Goodenough, in February 2016, in a private ceremony in Los Angeles. Preity’s best friends Surily Goel and Sussanne Khan were also spotted in LA.
Ishita Dutta & Vatsal Seth
Just last week, 29th November – 2017, Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth got married at ISKON Temple in Mumbai. The couple opted for a simple marriage with close friends and family members. None of the guests had shared pictures on social media, but thanks to Ishita and Vatsal’s fan clubs, who gave us a glimpse of the beautiful wedding and broke the news.
Powerhouse couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have left for Switzerland last night. And there’s speculation that they’ll be married in Italy this weekend. Though Anushka’s spokesperson clearly denied the rumor, some are firmly saying that it is going to be a very close affair with only family and some close friends attending and the couple is definitely going to get hitched.
