What’s cooking? If both you and your date or partner are foodies, it could be a great way to connect and spend more time and conversation together.

But at the same time, our conversations about food could actually also be the cause of splitting you both apart and bringing an end to the relationship, especially if you have different eating choices and habits.

Here are some of the most common food fights you both could have, and what you could maybe do about it.

The Fight Is Between Healthy And Junk

If one of you is always trying to eat healthy, while the other is fine with anything, even if it comes ready to eat out of a packet, there could be a good reason for trouble. Half of a couple taking up a healthy eating lifestyle as compared to the other loving their junk could make it difficult for both of you.

Talk to your partner about why you’re trying to change your diet, or why you don’t want to adopt a healthier one. Maybe you both can take up a healthy activity together that can still help with the fitness plans.

Veg Or Non-Veg?

This is a big dispute, and can often be the end of a relationship, even when you are just in the initial dating phase. One of you can’t eat anything but meats, and the other cannot stand the sight of meats. What could you do?

The first option would be to agree to eat together but go for your separate veg or non-veg choices. But if this just does not work, maybe the next and only option is to fulfill those food cravings with friends or alone.

The Taste Palate

One of you loves to explore and try out new tastes and cuisines, while the other always likes to play it safe. This could be a killjoy when it starts to always interfere with the way you place your order or the restaurant you choose to dine out.

Instead of ordering too many things, go for two dishes that are safe while two that may be new and exciting. Also, if you are cooking at home, create the same dish in two different ways, one the regular style, the other in a new fusion way. Sample both and gradually it could help bring in some new taste to life.
