Dating apps are the sure shot way to meet new and interesting people, but now, there is a good reason for you to take a break from them, at least for the time being.

Finding a date or love outside an app can seem quite the task, but do you know why you need a break? Here’s why.

Too Many Weird Matches Are Coming Your Way

How many times have you met someone on a dating app, only to find out that they were complete jerks in the real world? Or did you actually roll your eyes at the profiles that came your way online, wondering why you were matched in the first place? With almost everyone being on a dating app now, chances of bumping into jerks and weirdos is high.

Take A Chance At Real Events

Our cities are teeming with interesting events and happenings, and this is a great opportunity to not only catch up on something that interests you but also to find people who are equally interesting. Not many people will sign up for an event and be there on a weekend, unless they are really interested in it, which means that you get to meet people who share similar interests with you.

You’re Losing Touch With Reality

Often, living inside a dating app is a great way to feel self-confident and manage awesome conversations with those who you don’t really know. However, once you are put in a real-life situation, you may start to feel awkward and not have anything to say to the person you are meeting. If you are usually a shy person and find it difficult to talk to people, maybe it’s time to give the dating apps a break and focus on your real life conversation and people skills.

You Don’t Really Want To Date Anyone

It’s perfectly fine to not want to date anyone and instead want to stay single. You don’t have to install a dating app and have a profile on it, just because everyone is doing so. If you don’t feel like it, and unless your heart is really in it, delete it.

You’re Missing Your Hobbies

If you are spending way too much time on the app and are ignoring your hobbies or your friends, it could be a good reason to get rid of the dating app for now. Hang out with your friends instead, go out, do things that make you happy.

The good thing about deleting the dating app, for now, is that it’s just an app, and you can always re-install it. So chill, and live out of the app as well.
