When Is The Right Time To Breakup, Even If You Are In Love?

Why you need to break up even if you’re still in love

Isn’t it confusing – that you should sometimes break up with a person even if you are still so much in love, and feel you found the one?

Relationships come with their own set of love and complications, but sometimes, it is best to break up, even when you are in love, instead of waiting to fall out of it and then move on.

You’re just not feeling super happy any more

You know what, things change, and what we are looking for in our partner could also change with time. Earlier you wanted to be with someone cute and funny, but now you feel this is just not you. Or maybe an angry and possessive partner seemed exciting at first, but now you’re not sure any more.

Life goals are entirely different

Your partner wants to make it big and reach the highest echelons of the corporate world, while you want to move into a quaint home by a water body and spend time traveling and documenting it. Or you both have very strong and different views about having kids in future. Entirely different life goals can cause a huge clash in future, so be prepared.

You’re always thinking whether this will work out

If you are truly sure and happy in the relationship, this should not be happening as often as it does

But if you are always worried that this relationship may not work out in the future, maybe you should listen to your instinct and see what’s bugging you.

You’re thinking of someone else

Okay, so cheating is not a great thing to live with, and even if you didn’t cross over there yet, having thoughts of someone else while you are in a committed relationship may spell trouble later. You may try to fight it for some time, but it is likely you will succumb to the temptation. Or, if you’re not doing it only because you’re worried your partner will find out, it could bring in anger and resentment in your relationship.

Of course every relationship has its set of problems, and your next one will too. Before you give up, work on it together as a couple, but if it still does not make you happy, don’t wait till it is too late.

There is never a right time to break up. But there is always a time to do it the right way.
